Legislative Update

Just as I predicted SB 1967 came out of Committee today with a vote of 6
Ayes 0 Nayes and 3 absent. It was sent to Local and Consent as we
requested. It could come to the Floor for a full House vote as early as
Monday. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making this a success.

Now I'm going to ask you just one more time for your support this session.
HB 1569 the Equal Access Bill has been sent to the Senate Business and
Commerce Committee. Here are the members of that committee:

vote. Send each of the others a note asking them to please support HB 1569
If you live in Senate District 11 thank Senator Mike Jackson for
Sponsoring the Bill.
If we can get this one out of committee we will be batting 1000. Give it
the best you have and lets just see what happens. We are the last people
in Texas it is legal to discriminate against.
I shall of course be meeting with them or theior staff beginning tomorrow
morning.
