I, Dennis M. Childers, do hereby formally submit my name as a write-in candidate for the position of TMRA II State Chairman.>I live in Austin, TX with my wife Susan and two of our combined seven children. I am a United States Marine Corps veteran with an M.B.A. from UOP, a B.S. in Jurisprudence from the University of Houston, and an A.A. from San Jacinto College. I plan to walk in 2008 to receive my Doctorate in Education (Leadership Management). Most importantly, I have been riding for over 30 years and am currently the Chapter 4 Vice-President of the Leathernecks MC.
I have the knowledge, skills, and ability to lead this organization. I possess over twenty years of business experience, with an emphasis on management, marketing, finance, accounting, and economics. My first priority will be to maintain the day-to-day operations of the TMRA II, balance the budget, and continue to work with all members to validate their concerns. I will work on building relationships with legislators and continue to make our voices heard at the State Capitol. I will use my professional experience to help develop the membership of the TMRA II and work closely with business leaders in the state. In addition, I will provide information to the TMRA community to keep them updated with current events. I am requesting that each of you write me in on your ballot for the TMRA II State Chairman position.
Anyone can vote if they are an active TMRA2 member. They need to seal it in an envelope and put their name and address on it, and they can mail it. Or place several envelopes in a large envelope and mail. We have about 150 active members in the Austin chapter, with only about 4 who have voted already. We have 1500 state wide members and only 44 have voted. Dead line for all votes to be in is May 10, 2007, not much time left. If you have someone that would like to run for state chair just put them on as a write in candidate.
