UPDATE FOR LEGISLATIVE DAY
January 21st and 22nd, 2007 TMRA2 had to renegotiate the price on the blocked rooms. The single Full sized Bed is $39.95 + tax and the Double Queen size Bed is $49.95 + tax. You can make Reservations now by calling 512-835-5050. We shall meet at the swimming pool at 6:00pm to discuss Bills and hand out position papers. We ask that at least one member from each Club attend this meeting to be sure we are on the same page.
The United Clubs of Austin has made arrangements for free camping at Ghost Town in Manor for Sunday & Monday nights if you prefer to not rent a room. They are also planning a ride in from Beverley’s on South Congress at about 10:00am Monday morning. Those staying in the hotel are asked to go directly to the Capitol from the Hotel. We shall have staff in the Capitol Cafeteria by 7:00am and in the Rotunda ready to get down to business by 7:30am.
Legislative Day is an all day affair. We are generally recognized by the House from the Floor at about 10:30 -11:00 am. Let’s have the Gallery filled again. Both sides of the 1100-1200 block of Colorado are reserved for motorcycle parking only. Also both sides of the 100 block of South Congress, both sides of the 100 block of East 11th street and the south side of the 100 block of West 11th street are reserved for motorcycle parking.
