The Purpose of Government Is Not Passing Laws To Restrict the Freedoms of its Citizens! "The purpose of government is to protect the individual rights of its citizens" and not to take the rights of its citizens away or for granted. The Greatest THREAT to America’s Freedom is Government passing laws to give away our rights under the Constitution.
A red cloud has begun to appear overhead. The Statue of Liberty is red with furry. Our Freedoms are under assault, but not by what or who one would first think. The Statue of Liberty witnessed first hand the tragedy of September 11th and like never before the Statue of Liberty stands for FREEDOM. The terrorist on 9-11 new that they would not and could not defeat this great nation of ours, but the terrorist did know America’s biggest weakness, ourselves. Our strengths and weaknesses can both be found in our hearts and minds. It is imperative for all of us to take a stand and stand strong together to put a stop to government taking away what America stands for … FREEDOM! Can one have life without liberty? Can one pursue happiness without the freedom to pursue it? America’s Founding Fathers established a republic based on limited government, private property, and individual rights. They created the system of "checks and balances" to protect citizens against the consolidation of power; recognized state’s rights and made clear their desire for limited and delegated power.
There are many Questions out there being asked about what caused the 2006 election to swing back towards the Democrat’s side. To me it didn’t take rocket science to figure this one out. It wasn’t the War in Iraq or the News Media’s "Blame America First Policies", it was because the Republican’s in Washington while saying they are for smaller or less Government created a more Powerful and Intrusive Government. The people all across this country do not want a more powerful or intrusive government, nor do they want a bigger government. The Democrats lost their jobs last time over creating a bigger government that the people didn’t want.
We all have to do our part by raising our voices and doing what it takes to be heard. We have a dangerous combination in place right now and it will take everyone, including the ones who normally stand on the sidelines and watch. Actually, we are going to need even the band, cheer leaders, water boys, benchwarmers and everyone out of the bleachers for this one.
With the increased power of government created by the Republicans and the Democrats want and drive to increase the size of government, we are looking at what may become the largest and most powerful government since the Soviet Union. Don’t take me wrong here, I don’t think were are going down the communist road yet, but I do know how much of a beating our Constitution has taken on the chin lately. It is going to be up to us to draw that line in the sand like William Travis did at the Alamo. We are surrounded by government that wants to run our lives and Deguello is being played on the Trumpet. Now is time to stand and be counted, "for Today is the First Day of the Rest of Our Lives, Today is the First Day on the Road to Take Back Our Freedoms".
Legislative Day is January 22nd, and it is imperative to make plans to be in Austin at the Capital that day. We are going to pursue our modification to the Helmet Bill to do away with the provision that Law Enforcement continue to misuse and harass us with, as well as let our Representatives know that under NO Circumstances will we set by and watch them put Helmets back on our heads. There are a number of other issues going to be thrown our way this next year and next year will be here shortly.
The Texas Confederation Of Clubs standing along side TMRA 2 and ABATE in this fight for Freedom may not be enough, we need each and everyone out there no matter how many wheels are under you to pass on the message of Freedom to others and ask them to stand along side us in this new legislative session and fight for Freedom and to join us on January 22nd in Austin.
America’s Founding Fathers created direct participation of its citizens in the mechanics of government. The Founding Fathers gave citizens direct control over the execution of laws, the Bill of Rights, and guaranteed the right of trial by jury. They also gave us; Freedom of Conscience, the Right to Assemble, Petition, and Freely Criticize the Government. The Founding Fathers further wrote on the importance of safeguards for personal property and security against unlawful and unreasonable violations of privacy. These ideas were enshrined in their hearts, their minds, their soles and their writings. I Thank God each and everyday for such wise men as our founding fathers and pray to God everyday that our current leaders of government will follow the example set forth by these great and wise men and that once again Our Country will have leaders with a vision of how to preserve Freedom and Serve the People.
