Legislative Update

We attended the Thunder in The Hill Country this weekend down in Bandera sponsored by Biker Rallies of Texas. We were happy to see Mike have areally great turnout for this Rally to make up for the losses caused byHurricanes Katrina and Rita at his past runs.
Mike gives TMRA 2 booth space and part of his receipts go to help support the association also. Friday night the band was hypnotic even sitting outside. We got the opportunity to speak with a lot of riders concerning the exploits of our Warriors. We signed up 17 new members (1 supporter member) and received over $305 in donations for shirts. While the new memberships accounted for only about 1% of those present we are hoping theinfo packets get some of them interested and we receive a few more in the mail.
We met a really nice couple who sponsor the Rolling Across Texas Motorcycle Rally with their proceeds going to benefit our men and women in the Armed Forces. You can check out their website at www.rollingacrosstexas.com They both joined the Association and asked that we attend theirRally Sept. 22-23 in Bay City and set up a booth for free. After checkingthe schedule on the office calendar we will be there.
