Patriot Act

After seven hours of standing at ease with a Quorum Call the Senate
approved a six month extension of the Patriot Act as is. President Bush
has said repeatedly he will not sign an extension and Senator Reid said it
would not get passed otherwise.
Mr. Reid apparently stood behind his words. We'll see if Mr. Bush was
running a bluff and got his hand called.
