Legislative Update

The Constitution of the United States was signed on this date (September 17, 1787) after months of debate. Although we all recognize the Constitution and its significance in our lives, it wasn't until President George W. Bush signed a bill on December 8th, 2004 (public law 108-447) which designates every September 17th as Constitution Day.

..............We The People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
