Call To Action – Michigan SB 291
Saturday, August 27th, 2011ABATE of Michigan is asking for help. Read below, text from ABATE of Michigan President and US Defenders State Commander Escondido Paul.
To all US Defender Commanders;
The State of Michigan is asking for our help. Please send a letter of
opinion from your individual “FREE” States expressing your support for all Michigan motorcyclists and enthusiasts.
Show solidarity for our motorcycle community in this simple task. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact myself, or our US Defender Commander in Michigan Kickstand, [kickstand@usmvmcmi2.org].
We thank you in advance for participating.
Respect to all,
Escondido Paul
From: Vince Consiglio, President, ABATE of Michigan
ABATE of Michigan would like the help of all motorcyclists in their fight for freedom. Senate Bill 291 passed the Michigan Senate in late June. We are asking all rights activists to send a postcard to Michigan’s Governor, Rick Snyder, urging him to support motorcycle helmet choice for adults.
A postcard from a “FREE” state may help him realize that Michigan loses motorcycle money every day of the summer with a mandatory helmet law.
Governor Snyder prides himself on being all about business and helping business. Please urge Governor Snyder to support adult choice.

SAMPLE LETTER / POSTCARD
To the Honorable Governor Rick Snyder
Dear Governor Snyder,
I live in Texas and during the summer months, I look forward to riding my motorcycle in the cooler Northern states. However, I choose to ride and spend my hard earned money in freedom of choice states. If you would consider signing Senate Bill 291 into law, I would consider visiting your lovely state. I understand there is a lot of beautiful countryside in the northern region of Michigan and would love to see it one day. Texas has a freedom of choice Helmet Law that everyone can live with and it is very similar to your SB 291.
Thank you for your consideration.
Respectfully,
